Solomon Bublick

Solomon Bublick was an American who left the sum of $37,000.00 to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem to establish an annual award. It is presently one of the two prestigious awards made by the University every few years. The prize is given for a lifetime dedicated to the well-being of the Jewish people and the State of Israel, alternatively to an Israeli and to a personality from abroad. Some former receipients were Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, President Harry S. Truman, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, Judge Edward S. Silver, Phillip S. Bernstein (1976) and Michael Sacher.
