Robert II, Rodbert or Chrodobert (770-807) was a Frank, count of
Worms andRheingau and duke ofHesbaye around the year 800. His family is known asRobertians . His son isRobert of Worms and his grandson isRobert the Strong , the namegiver of the Robertians. Robert of Hesbaye is the oldest known ancestor in the line of Robertians that is thought to be certain. He is the great-grandfather of two Frankish kings, Odo and Robert, that ruled in the kingdom ofWestern Francia . One of his descendants isHugh Capet , who was the "last Frankish king" and the "first king ofFrance ".
