Hiroki Tsurumoto

Hiroki Tsurumoto

Hiroki Tsurumoto (born in Fukuchiyama, Japan, on July 3, 1976) is a Japanese composer of contemporary classical music. He had compositional studies with Amnon Wolman, Tania Leon, and John Corigliano at the City University of New York in New York City from 2002 to 2006.

In September 2006 Tsurumoto started University of Toronto Faculty of Music's graduate composition program with Professor Ka Nin Chan. He has started studying with James Rolfe in September 2007.

Prior to his career as a composer, he played the Technitone at Victor Technics Music Festival. He won several prizes including nationwide finalist and a first prize, two second prizes, and a third prize at regional competitions.
