WNIS is a News/Talk/Sports formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Norfolk, Virginia, serving Hampton Roads. WNIS is owned and operated by Sinclair Telecable, Inc.

History

WNIS began on AM 850, before trading frequencies with sister station WTAR, in July of 1997.

WNIS syndicated programming from Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, George Noory, and Tammy Bruce. Bob Costas' Costas on the Radio is also heard.

Local programming includes a morning show hosted by Tony Macrini and "Buy Sell or Trade" (a Tradio program).
