Customary land title

A customary land title is a concept in the law of Papua New Guinea. It refers to the fact that the traditional lands of indigenous peoples can not be taken away. [ [http://www.union.ic.ac.uk/media/iscience/article_template_typ.php?articleid=82 I, Science : Imperial College's science magazine ] ] The Constitution of the country wishes for traditional villages and communities to remain as viable units of Papua New Guinean society and this is what the law attempts to achieve.
