Nsirimo (Nsuda-Imo: "falling Imo river") is a small village of about 2,000 people situated in the eastern part of Nigeria and in Umuahia South in Abia state.
It was originally made up of 5 clans which gave its other name "Nsirimo Ama-ise". Those 5 clans are namely: Umuerim, Umuaha , Umuezu, Umumba and Umuako. However, these clans have been integrated to form three larger communities with a traditional ruler (Eze) being the paramount ruler of each of these communities. It was later divided into 3 Communities namely, Umumba, Umuako and Ezu-na-Erim Autonomous Communities. Some of the traditional rulers are: Eze M. I. Akpaka (Imo I of Nsirimo), HRH Eze Godwin Ogbonna (Mba I of Nsirimo) and HRH Late Sir Okwuonu.
