Character history

Roxanne "Roxy" Brooks accepts a marriage proposal from Pfc. Trevor LeBlanc after having known him for four days. Upon this agreement, Roxy packs up her two kids and moves to Charleston, South Carolina to be with Trevor on "The Post" where the rest of the army families live. Quite unsettled with just being a housewife, Roxy takes a job at the local Jody bar, and returns to her roots.

Even though Roxy is unsure of how she is going to fit into The Post, she accepts an invitation to attend Claudia Joy Holden's tea party. This is where Roxy meets Pamela Moran for the first time. Because of their differences in comparison to the other army wives, Roxy and Pamela strike up an immediate friendship which will guide them through future hard times. In this friendship, Roxy reveals to Pamela that her mother was an alcoholic bartending hairdresser, while Roxy was doing Pamela's hair one day.

Roxy and Trevor appear to have a very loving relationship. Trevor asks that he be allowed to adopt Roxy's two sons, and after much turmoil - reluctant ex-boyfriends, to Roxy's insecurities - Roxy agrees to the adoption and mails the papers before Trevor is to be deployed to Iraq.
