Tomás Freeman

Tomás (Thomas) "Tommy" Freeman is Gaelic footballer from Magheracloone, Monaghan. He plays plays club football with Magheracloone Mitchells alongside fellow Monaghan Inter county players Damien Freeman, also Tomás' brother, and Shane Duffy.

Career

2005

He won an Irish news Ulster All-Star award. He was on the Allianz National League Division Two title winning Monaghan side.

2007

He was the top scorer in the Ulster Senior Football Championship with 0 goals and 12 points. He played in the Ulster Senior Football Championship final in which they lost by 2 points in a scoreline of Tyrone 1-15 Monaghan 1-13. He also played against Kerry in the All-Ireland Quarter Final in which he scored 1 goal and 2 points, they narrowly lost in a score of Kerry 1-12 Monaghan 1-11. He is a Carpenter, he cut his thumb a few days before the Kerry - Monaghan game and was in hospital, he had to get a cast and he only got it off two days before the match. Tommy finished the championship with 4-22, the second highest scorer behind Cork's James Masters.He won the Ulster Player of the year and a GAA all-star award, he played for Ulster against Munster in the Railway Cup Final, which finished Ulster 1-12 Munster 1-08, Tommy scored 1-1.
