Craigmarloch is a residential area of the town of Cumbernauld, it was the last such area that the Cumbernauld Development Corporation laid out and began construction of. The Area is designed to be like a Village, with features such as a Village Green, a Main Street, focal points, gateways, water features and recreational & community facilities. The responsibility for the development of the area passed from the CDC to North Lanarkshire Council in 1996.
To the South West of the main residential part is the retail site at Craigmarloch District Shopping Centre, in the Centre there is a Tesco Store, Video shops and Takeaway food shops.
Around the main Residential area is the Dullatur Golf Course with two main courses, which are praised for their design.
