The Monash University Art and Design Faculty undertakes teaching and research in the areas of fine arts, multimedia, art theory, industrial design and architecture. Monash is one of few institutions in Australia to offer a range of art and design courses within the one faculty. In fact, it is one of few Australian universities with a Faculty of Art and Design. In 2008, the Faculty launched a new course in architecture, the first new architecture course in Australia for 30 years, [ [http://www.artdes.monash.edu.au/news/architecture.html Architecture at Monash ] ] and the only one based in an art and design faculty.
The Faculty is located at Monash University's Caulfield Campus.
