The Klützer Winkel or Klützer Ort (in the vernacular also "Speckwinkel") is a part of the
Nordwestmecklenburg district, inMecklenburg-Western Pomerania ,Germany . It consists of the western part of the circular area between the Hanseatic citiesLuebeck (Priwall ) andWismar ,Grevesmühlen to the north, which was located at the Baltic Sea, andKlütz in the center. The hilly landscape in the Klützer Winkel became coined-shaped during the last ice age. The highest terrain consists of beautiful mountains with 89 m mean sea level andHeideberg . The Klützer Winkel is considered apeninsula betweenBay of Lübeck andBay of Mecklenburg , and forms a line between theDassower See andWohlenberger Wiek with an area up to 10 km northward.
