- HMS Clio (1858)
HMS "Clio" was a wooden warship, used for most of her life as a
school ship ."Clio" was built at
Sheerness as a 200 foot (61 m) 22-gunPearl class corvette and launched onAugust 28 1858 . ["The Times (London)", Monday,August 30 1858 , p.7] In1877 she became a school ship, stationed on theMenai Strait at Bangor, and had 260 pupils. She was sold for scrap and broken up in1919 .References
