HMS Clio (1858)

HMS "Clio" was a wooden warship, used for most of her life as a school ship.

"Clio" was built at Sheerness as a 200 foot (61 m) 22-gun Pearl class corvette and launched on August 28 1858. ["The Times (London)", Monday, August 30 1858, p.7] In 1877 she became a school ship, stationed on the Menai Strait at Bangor, and had 260 pupils. She was sold for scrap and broken up in 1919.
