Gross Merchandise Volume

Gross Merchandise Volume or GMV is a term used in online retailing to indicate a total sales dollar amount for merchandise sold through a particular marketplace over a certain time frame. Popular auction sites like eBay and Overstock.com commonly use this term in place of "sales" or "revenue".
