Carora ,Venezuela ,February 8 ,1926 ) is a Venezuelan writer and historian. In 1954 obtained a degree in philosophy at the Central University of Madrid, in his return to Venezuela, enters like professor of geography, social history and sciences at the National Pedagogical Institute of Caracas. As journalist directed the weekly magazine "El amigo del hogar", and wrote columns in several newspapers like, "El Impulso",El Nacional and "El Heraldo". In 1956 moved toGermany , where he gave classes of Hispan-American culture at theUniversity of Hamburg until 1958. Again in Venezuela, from 1974 until 1985, was professor ofHistory of Venezuela at theSimón Bolívar University . Also was Director of the National Academy of History between 1986 and 1995, founding the Departments of Investigation and Publications from 1958 until 1996. Guillermo Morón has been awarded with numerous recognitions, among them, the Municipal Prize of Literature (Narrative mention), in 1987, and the National Prize of Literature in 1990.Published works
