Anthony Matthew (Tony) Mars (born April 9, 1976) is an American entrepreneur. Early life

Mars was born in Queens, New York, the only son of Deborah L., a business woman, homemaker, and nurse, and [http://www.bamc.org/releases/pr-05-30-03.html Anthony R.] , a physician specializing in internal medicine and anesthesiology. In 1986, Mars moved with his parents to Marinette, Wisconsin where his father became the town's [http://www.bamc.org/releases/pr-05-30-03.html first anesthesiologist] . He attended [http://www.mhs94.com/class_list.htm Marinette High School] from 1990-1994 where he was elected [http://www.mhs94.com/corporate_bylaws.htm senior class president] . Upon graduation Mars attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied history, political science, and philosophy. While at Madison he ran the university's Pre-Law Society for three years, hosted dignitaries including U.S. Senator Herb Kohl and U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, and was selected as the junior class representative for the UW-Madison Homecoming Court. He then attended graduate school at Harvard University where he continued his study of political philosophy.

Personal life

Mars met Amanda Michelle Chartier in 1998 while she was a student waitressing at the Thai Cuisine - a restaurant in their hometown. The two were married five years later to the date, time, and at the same place where they first met in a modest ceremony attended by close family and friends. They have one son, Alexander Anthony and currently reside in the Chicago metropolitan area.
