Ulan Melisbek

Ulan Melisbek (IPA pronunciation: u'lɑn melɪsbek) (born March 31, 1975 Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) is the first political oppositioner in internet mass media. He was the founder of a virtual Kyrgyz Diaspora's internet domain [ [http://www.kyrgyz.us a virtual Kyrgyz Diaspora's internet domain] ] He also opened and maintained first ever democratic internet newspaper [ [http://www.gazeta.kg democratic internet newspaper] ] These internet sites were few sources of information for thousands of Kyrgyz citizens who lived abroad, which covered real situation in Kyrgyz Republic and dirty political games played by the President himself, his family and people around him. Ulan is a political refugee, who lives in the United States of America (US) from 2002. After Ulan had left to the US, his family back at home was still under attack and threats by the Kyrgyz Government for Ulan's democratic opinions which were popular among young generation of Kyrgyz citizens abroad. He was one of most influential oppositioners during March Revolution in 2005 (24 March 2005). During most of the time while Ulan Melisbek criticized corrupt Kyrgyz Government mainly the first president of the country Askar Akaev, his domain [ [http://www.kyrgyz.us his domain] ] was constantly under attacks by the people of Akaev.
