Oberst Bernhard Woldenga was born 4 December 1901 in Hamburg and died 19 January 1999. During World War II Woldenga served in the German Luftwaffe commanded the JG 27 and JG 77 fighter wings.

He is credited with three aerial victories of which 2 were claimed on the Eastern front.
