Ursula Haubner (born
December 22 ,1945 ) is anAustria n politician of theAlliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ), formerly of theAustrian Freedom Party (FPÖ). Haubner is married with two daughters and five grandchildren. Her younger brother was former FPÖ and BZÖ party chairmanJörg Haider .Haubner was born in
Bad Goisern ,Upper Austria , to enthusiastic Nazis and took her "Matura " exams inBad Ischl in 1963. A former teacher, local politician, and a member of government ("Staatssekretärin") since February 2003, she was appointed Federal Minister of Social Affairs in January 2005, succeedingHerbert Haupt , whom she had already followed as party chairperson in June 2004.Ursula Haubner joined her brother
Jörg Haider when he decided to split from the Freedom Party to create theAlliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ). She now serves a Member of Parliament for the party.
