Gloria C. Riomales was born on
April 4 ,1954 inManila ,Philippines . She studied at theUniversity of Santo Thomas andFar Eastern University in the Philippines. She studied design and merchandising at theLos Angeles Trade-Technical College and at theUniversity of California, Los Angeles . In 1975, Gloria established a business under the name Fashion World & Boutique inLos Angeles, California . She launched this business working part time, with an initial capital of $1,000.00. Since then, the business has grown tremendously with the support of Gloria's loyal clientele. Today, Gloria C. Riomales continues to design and create custom-made clothing for her clientele, which consists of affluent and highly accomplished individuals, distinguished dignitaries, diplomats, Heads of State, film makers, producers, and directors. Gloria's clientele is seen by appointment and referral only. Gloria limits her appointments to no more than 2 clients per day. Her formal gowns range in price from $10,000 to $50,000 and up per piece. Gloria's formal gowns are never duplicated, unless it is for the same client who purchased the original piece. This business policy ensures that Gloria's clients will never see the same original formal gown on anyone else. Gloria's custom-made clothing has been proudly worn at theEmmy Awards , as well as numerous television shows and a beauty pageant. Gloria's designs are classic, timeless, sophisticated, and one of a kind. Her daily wear designs are informal, yet elegant. Conversely, her formal wear attire is sure to stand out in a crowd. Gloria's clothing is designed to accommodate lifestyles that prefer convenience and are suitable for the unpredictability of any situation. The Real Kids Couture, which is a unique and organic apparel line for children, was created in 1987. Gloria attributes many of her versatile and unique clothing design ideas to her travels worldwide. In Fall, 2007, Gloria C. Riomales will launch Glorifique.com, an on-line clothing store, with her partner Irene Co.
