The "Soy Source" is a
Japanese language newspaper published inSeattle, Washington .The newspaper is published twice monthly, on the 10th and 25th of each month, by Japan Pacific Publications, Inc. It is entirely in Japanese and services the approximately 20,000 Japanese expatriates living in Washington state.
In the spring, the "Soy Source" publishes a visitor's guide, called the "Seattle Compass", that is inserted into the newspaper, as well as being distributed free from locations including Uwajimaya stores, Japanese video stores.
Andrew Taylor is the
publisher and Akiko Iwamoto is the editor.Japan Pacific Publications, Inc. was founded in
1983 and the Soy Source began publication in earnest in1992 .The paper is in a tabloid format.
