Wulsin (Abbot Ulsinus)

Wulsin (also known as Abbot Ulsinus) was a 10th century Abbot of St Albans Abbey, England, and, according to the 13th century chronicler Matthew Paris, founded St Albans School there in 948 which is still active. In the same year he also founded three churches on the main entrances to the medieval town - St Peter's, St Stephen's and St Michael's - to welcome pilgrims on their way to the shrine of St Alban. The town of St Albans grew around these establishments.
