Hector Ramirez was a fictional character in the CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful". Hector was played by actor Lorenzo Lamas from 2004 to 2006.

Character

The character of Hector was introduced in 2004, when his daughter Caitlin (Kayla Ewell) was employed as an intern at Forrester Creations.It was revealed that Hector had previously been romantically involved with fashion designer Samantha Kelly (Sydney Penny), who was Caitlin's mother. After Caitlin's birth, Samantha's mother Priscilla (Linda Gray) had lied to both her daughter and Hector, telling Samantha that the child was stillborn and Hector that Samantha wanted nothing to do with the child. Priscilla eventually revealed all and Hector and Samantha reunited, after breaking the news to Caitlin that Samantha was her mother. (Hector had told Caitlin that her mother had died in childbirth, rather than what he believed to be the truth, that her mother had abandoned the child.) Hector and Sam became engaged but soon separated after an argument about Priscilla. Samantha moved to New York and Caitlin soon joined her there.Hector then set his sights on Taylor Forrester (Hunter Tylo), who was then married to Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss). The two began a flirtation, but Taylor never gave in to Hector. However, Taylor's marriage to Ridge eventually ended, when Ridge realized that he still wanted to be with his former love Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Hector began conspiring with Taylor's daughter, Phoebe (MacKenzie Mauzy) to keep Taylor out of jail for the vehicular manslaughter of Darla Forrester (Schae Harrison). Taylor eventually decided to come clean to Darla's widower, Thorne (Winsor Harmon) about her involvement in his wife's death. Hector saw red and kidnapped Taylor and took her to his house, where he held her hostage until a fire broke out and they were rescued by Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). Hector was rushed to hospital, where he was told he was blind. The fire also left Hector homeless, so he moved in with Taylor. He soon realized that Taylor and he would never be more than friends and he decided to move out. Thorne offered Hector his now vacant beach house and Hector happily accepted the offer. Hector has not been seen since. It has however been stated that he is on holiday with his children. Thorne has also moved back into the beach house after he and Taylor broke off their engagement.

Hector also has an adopted son, Jimmy Ramirez (Chris Warren Jr.) and a younger brother, Dr. Christian Ramirez (Mario Lopez).
