The Roger Butler House on Jordan Lane in the Town of
Wethersfield, Connecticut , was built in1769 . It is one of a number of historic houses in the area listed in theNational Register of Historic Places , originally owned by the Butler family for more than 200 years.Architecture
A fine example of colonial craftsmanship, the Roger Butler House shows off wide plank floors, clapboarding, and three fireplaces sharing a common chimney, one of which has a bake/beehive oven. The original colonial structure has been modified by 19th and 20th century elements.
