John G. Adams (
16 February ,1932 –23 January ,2003 ) was theUS Army 's counsel in theArmy-McCarthy Hearings . He was an Army veteran ofWorld War II , and he worked inWashington, DC for theDefense Department before he became theUS Army general counsel in 1953. From 1953 to 1955 he was the chief legal adviser to Army SecretaryRobert Ten Broeck Stevens .
