He also explored a wide variety of both Western and Chinese martial arts ranging from boxing to Kung Fu, Taekwondo to Karate, and sought excellence in the Northern Shaoling and Wing Chun styles, and eventually created a style that he calls "Realistic Fist", which sets aside the form, and focuses only on the practical aspect of beating the enemy,.[3]

In 2009, Conan made a brief appearance in an episode of the popular American crime series Numb3rs[5] and has since been developing a number of projects for his comeback to the film industry.[6]
