Jarmon Durisseau-Collins (born July 24, 1983 in Houston, Texas) is a former basketball player for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Early life

Collins was born one of 4 children from Tony and Cassandra Collins.

High School Career

J.D. Collins starred at Redemption Christian Academy, he averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists per game.

College career

J.D. Collins attended West Virginia University. He was John Beilein's first recruit at WVU. He played on the Mountaineer teams that included Johannes Herber, Patrick Beilein, Mike Gansey, and Kevin Pittsnogle.

Freshman season

In 2003, Collins enrolled at West Virginia. Collins averaged 26.6 minutes per game, with 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds. He totaled 68 assists and 42 steals his debut season.

ophomore season

J.D. Collins entered the 2004 season with 9 points in the second game of the year, a victory at Duquesne. He followed up with 5 assists in the victory over LSU. He saw moderate time for the rest of the season, until he scored 10 points and 6 assists at the end of the season against Villanova. He ended the season with 4.1 points per game, 95 assists, and 32 steals on the season. He also had 58 rebounds on the season.

Junior season

Collins started up the 2005 with 8 points in a victory over UL Monroe. In the 76-75 loss to Texas, Collins scored 5 points and dished 4 assists. In the 66-61 victory over St. Bonaventure, Collins scored 7 points and dished 7 assists. In the 80-68 victory over Canisius, Collins totaled 8 assists. In the 91-87 victory over Villanova, Collins scored 6 points and recorded 5 assists. In the 104-85 victory over Marquette, Collins scored 7 points and dished 4 assists. In the 68-64 victory over Louisville, Collins scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He averaged 3.8 points per game, and totaled 114 assists and 37 steals on the season.
