Maryfran Johnson-- A longtime IT journalist and editorial executive, Maryfran Johnson has an extensive network of Chief Information Officer (CIO) contacts and IT sources built during her leadership roles as Computerworld's Editor in Chief , Founding Editor of CIO Decisions magazine, and Chief Content Officer for the CIO Leadership Network.

In March 2008, she rejoined IDG as Editorial Director of Executive Programs at CXO Media, publisher of CIO and CSO magazines. She is responsible for agenda development, speaker recruitment and all related editorial functions for CXO's extensive conference offerings. Previous to joining CXO, she served as Chief Content Officer for Evanta's CIO Leadership Network (www.cioln.com), an invitation-only online community for senior IT executives who attend Evanta's regional CIO Executive Summits.

Since the mid-1990s, Maryfran has been featured in media interviews as an expert commentator on IT leadership, technology and business trends. She appears frequently as a keynote speaker and panel moderator at CIO conferences, where she is known for her engaging stage presence and deep knowledge of IT executive issues.

Maryfran also works with executive education programs at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business and other universities. She was the first national winner in 2004 of American Business Media's Timothy White Award for editorial integrity, and in 2005 was named one of the “21 Most Intriguing People in Publishing" by Min’s B2B Magazine.

As founding Editor in Chief of TechTarget’s CIO Decisions Media Group, Maryfran led the April 2005 launch of CIO Decisions monthly magazine. Prior to joining TechTarget, Maryfran served as Editor in Chief of Computerworld, where she spent 15 years in reporting, editing and executive management. In 1999, she created and launched the prestigious Premier 100 IT Leaders Awards Program and Conference.
