The most well-known appearance of Hawkmon is in the
Digimon Adventure 02 anime as the partner ofYolei Inoue .The Hawkmon of Digimon Adventure 02 also appears in all the Digimon Adventure 02 related movies.
Appearance
Hawkmon is a smallbird -like Digimon with red feathers and large yellow feet. His wings each have three digits,and he can use them like fingers. He has clear blue eyes, and wears a belt around his forehead.Description
Hawkmon is a main character in
Digimon Adventure 02 , and also appears in its two related movies The Golden Digimentals and Diablomon Strikes Back.Hawkmon, along with
Veemon andArmadillomon , are the three Digimon of ancient times who were sealed away by the SovereignAzulongmon , to be awakened again in a time of crisis. Hawkmon was freed when Yolei lifted the Digi-egg of Love.Later in
Digimon Adventure 02 , Hawkmon gains the ability to assume a second Armor form - Shurimon, from the Digi-Egg of Sincerity. After the defeat of theDigimon Emperor , Hawkmon's natural champion form is unlocked, as well as the ability to DNA Digivolve withGatomon Attacks* Feather strike: Throws his head-feather like a boomerang.
Other Forms
The name "Hawkmon" refers to only the rookie form of this digimon. Throughout the series, Hawkmon gains the ability to Digivolve into a number of more powerful forms (each with a different name). The rookie form, however, is his most common and preferred form.
Trivia
In the "Digimon" TV series, Hawkmon is the first Digimon to be a different gender to the Digidestined he is paired up with; in every other case, male Digidestined had male Digimon and female Digidestined had female Digimon. Whether this fact means anything or is simply a coincidence was never revealed.
