Jannel Rap

Jannel Rap is a folk singer and songwriter from Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rap attended Lincoln Northeast High School where a picture of her is displayed on the wall of honored alumni.

Rap has released five albums. The first album, "Clementine Street", was recorded in the living room of a house in 1994. She recorded her first studio album, " So Beyond Clementine Street", the following year. In 1999, she released "Sea Of Red". "Sea Of Red"'s title track is a tribute to the Nebraska Cornhuskers and former Nebraska head coach Tom Osborne used the song in fundraising campaigns for his Teammates Mentoring program. The Orange County Register picked her fourth album, "Blue" as one of the top three releases of 2001, and her fifth album, "ka-lei-do-scope" as one of the top CDs of 2005.

Rap has performed with artists such as Nickel Creek, Loudon Wainwright III, Sophie B. Hawkins, John Waite and created Clementine Band in 2006cite web| last =

Rap's sister, Gina Bos disappeared from Lincoln in 2000 and Rap has been an advocate for missing persons ever since. She has founded GINA and Warriors for the Missing, groups that are intended to help people whose family members are missing.

She was the host of America Lost and FOUND and co-hosted the CRN's Live from Studio C Street.

Jannel is the author of 30 Days in a Life that chronicles a specific 30 day period in her life. This book not only gives you a view into the day to day life of this uniquely driven woman, but brings to light how her sister's disappearance has created life lessons and changes she would have never experienced otherwise.
