Oluwatomiwo "Tomi" Ameobi (born August 16, 1988 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear) [ [http://www.uptheposh.com/people/2352 Tomi Ameobi's Biography] ] is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Doncaster Rovers. As of September 24, 2008, he is on loan at Grimsby Town. He is the younger brother of Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi, older brother from Sammiusto Ameobi and is also of Nigerian descent.

The 2007–08 season was Ameobi's first campaign in the Leeds United first team. He made his first appearance of the pre-season in Leeds United's 2–0 defeat against Unibond League side Guiseley on August 6. He started the match, which was the club's final pre-season fixture, but was replaced after 75 minutes. Ameobi made his debut for Leeds on August 28, against Portsmouth in the Football League Cup.

He was loaned out to the Championship side Scunthorpe United in November 2007. On September 24, 2008 he was loaned to Football League Two side Grimsby Town.

After making nine appearances without scoring a goal, Ameobi returned to Leeds before joining Doncaster on July 22, 2008. [cite news
