Sandra Alcosser

Sandra Alcosser (born 1944) is an American poet. She was appointed the first state poet laureate of Montana from 2005-2007 [ [http://art.mt.gov/resources/resources_alcosser.asp Montana Arts Council page on Alcosser] ] and was superseded by Greg Pape [ [http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2007/08/14/news/state/97-poet.txt Billings Gazette article on first poet laureate of Montana] ] . She has written two books of poems: "A Fish To Feed All Hunger" (Ahsahta Press, 1993) and "Except By Nature" (Graywolf Press, 1998), which won the James Laughlin Award.
