elevation_max = Rizes (Ρίζες) is the easternmost and most populous (population 664 in 1991)1 village in the municipality ofTegea (Τεγέα) inArcadia prefecture,Greece . Its primary economic activity is agriculture. Rizes' crops include cherries, potatoes, and grape cultivation and wine production. The village lies at the roots of the mountain named SaintElias (Προφήτης Ηλίας) which includes four noteworthy churches. At the summit is the small church of the ProphetElias followed by in order of descending elevation the churches ofSaint Nicholas ,Saint Marina andSaint Spyridon . The feast ofSaint Marina is celebrated every year on the 17th of July with a popular festival in Rizes.References
