Junkbot

Junkbot

"Junkbot" is a game created by GameLab for LEGO and hosted on lego.com. It is about a robot called Junkbot who collects trash. The gameplay involves moving LEGO bricks. Note that the game has a sequel, called "".

tory

The stories are pretty vague.

Junkbot is a trash-eating robot. One day, Junkbot gets a job (as a janitor, obviously)- just so he can get more of his beloved meal.

Characters

*Junkbot: The namesake protaganist. He is a robot who loves to eat trash- so he gets a job (as a janitor, obviously)- just so he can get more of his beloved meal.
*Bossbot: An Eyebot and is Junkbot's employer.

Enemies

*Gearbot: These robots can only move horizontally on a flat surface.
*Climbbot: These robots can float in any direction, and can float over staircases. They cannot float over excessively tall structures, however.
*Flybot: These robots can fly. Some fly horizontally, Some fly vertically. If they hit a surface they will move back.
*Eyebot: These flying robots will chase Junkbot if they see him.

Gameplay

The goal of every level in both games is to clear the level of all trash cans, and Junkbot is the one who must clear the level. Junkbot cannot be moved by the player (he walks by himself, will not fall of an edge and will turn back if he walks into a dead end), but the player's movement of bricks can effect where he goes (however he cannot walk over a brick structure two or more bricks high (but he can walk on staircases)). The player cannot move grey bricks, but they can move colored bricks. When Junkbot comes in contact with a trash can, he will collect it.

When almost every level is completed, Junkbot may access the next building/area.

Also, if the player completes a level within the level's specified moves limit. The player is then awarded with a Gold Award. If the player earns a certain amount of Gold Awards, they will obtain a special rank.

One of the best features about Junkbot is the ability to go back to each room and re-play the level, this allows you the player to continually improve their score.

It is recommend that players complete each level, not worrying too much about their score, so they can see how they rank among others. Then go back and replay levels and watch their rank improve.

Gameplay-Affecting Objects

pecial Bricks

Jump Brick

Jump Bricks can make Junkbot jump if he steps on them. If it is gold-colored, it is movable.

hield Brick

If Junkbot steps on one of these, he gets coated in a blue shield- thus using up the shield brick. This shield will protect Junkbot from harm- though this will use up the shield.

Hazards

These can harm Junkbot and makes the player lose in the level.
*Drip: These are pipes that drip water. Junkbot can walk on the top of these pipes however.
*Heat Brick: These bricks produce harmful heat.

Other Gameplay-Affecting Objects

*Crate: Crates cannot be moved by the player (nor can they attach to a brick). However, Junkbot can push these. For Junkbot to walk on a Crate, one brick must be added to the side of that Crate.
*Fan Brick: Fan Bricks can make Junkbot move upwards. A brick must block the fan and connect to a grey brick so Junkbot can descend.
*Switch: A step-activated switch that can turn Heat Bricks, Fan Bricks, or Lasers on or off. Occasionally, they may do nothing.
