The number 55 tram provides the main north-south link through the suburb and to the city, with a route that runs along Grantham St, Dawson St and Melville Road. There are several bus routes on the main east-west streets: 510 (Moreland Rd), 503 (Albion St), 509 (Hope St & Melville Rd), 508 (Victoria St), 506 (Dawson, Pearson, Smith & Allard Sts) and 504 (Brunswick Rd). For cyclists, many streets have cycle lanes and the suburb also adjoins the

The largest area of public open space is formed by the reservations along the
