The Sicilian Wikipedia is the Sicilian language edition of Wikipedia. It was started in October 2004, and reached 10,000 articles in the summer of 2007.

The Sicilian wikipedia and the other Italian minor languages wikipedias

Sicilian wikipedia was one of the the first Wikipedias in an Italian minority language. Other Italian minor languages wikipedias appeared more or less recently following the example of Sicilian wikipedia. Among all these languages (Neapolitan, Venetian, Sardinian, Lumbard, etc.) Sicilian wikipedia is actually ranked as the best one in terms of depth, a rough indicator of quality.Fact|date=November 2007
