Paddy O'Brien (born 16 April 1893) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the VFL.
O'Brien was a physically tough defender who usually played at centre half back. He was the Champion of the Colony in 1917 and Carlton's best and fairest in 1920 and 1924, the latter as captain. He was also a member of Carlton's back to back premierships in 1914 and 1915.
In 1925 he joined Footscray for their inaugural VFL season but played just 15 games for the club.
