Andrew Gardiner Kane, known as Gardiner Kane (born
25 November 1947 ) is a former Unionist politician inNorthern Ireland .Born in
Ballymoney , Kane joined theRoyal Ulster Constabulary in 1974. He joined theDemocratic Unionist Party (DUP), and was elected toMoyle District Council in 1985, serving as its Chair in 1990 and 1996. He was elected to theNorthern Ireland Assembly , representing North Antrim at the 1998 election.
