Habibganj

Habibganj is a town in Bhopal, India, in the BHEL township in the city of Bhopal. Habibganj is famous for its railway station, which is often used by residents of BHEL townships instead of the main Bhopal station.

Etymology

In Hindi Habibganj means the Habib ka Shaher,that means the city of love.This name was given by the Begum Of Bhopal Southern City when she wanted peace and love everywhere in her region.That times Bhopal was ruled by Islamic rules.

Points of interest

The most important point of interest of this region is the BHOPAL Habibganj railway station which has its own beauty and interest.It is India's FIrst ISO9001 certified railway station. Besides it,there are many restaurants,lovely parks, Shamgahs and Agro company in this area,

Habibganj is just a 5 minutes drive from the commercial area of new Bhopal - Maharana Pratap (MP) Nagar. MP Nagar has a lots of hotels and restaurants including Surendra Vilas, Residency and Amer Palace. Some renowned restaurants in MP Nagar include Arya Bhavan, Jain's Thali, Amer bakery Hut and the quintessential Pizza Hut.
