Living Conditions
In the aquarium, these fish along with cichlids from Madagascar have low immunity towards Ich. They are very easily susceptible to this common disease and will need immediate treatment in the case that they are exposed to it. They tend to thrive in warmer waters that can reach up to 90+ degrees. They need to be housed in large aquariums as they can grow more than a foot in length and become easily territorial.
