Arab Dream

Arab Dream is the ideology of having one united Arab nation where it is easy to travel within boundaries, and to get back Jerusalem and free all lands that Arabs claim, such as the Golan, Ceuta and Melilla.It is very similar to the Pan-Arabism concept.

Economically

Economically the dream is to have a unified Arab currency, passport, governmental system, as well as a railroad system crossing the Arab States, and linking them with one another, and to be completely dependent on each other and independent of the outside world, and to be a self-sufficient nation.

Resources

The Arab Dream has set its own resources that can make a strong Arab Nation, with the Gulf States having the money, North Africa with its massive labor power of 165 million citizen, Sudan with its rich fertile lands and The Levant's trade and educational skills, with other states seen as different tourism destinations, Comoros taking a position similar to Hawaii to the United States.

Politically

Politically, the dream is become a main key player on the political field, and to acquire a seat in the UN Security Council under the name of the Arab States.

Problems

Problems facing the Dream, Arabs see several obstacles that need to be reformed to take the first step, and it includes the reform and change of the Arab regimes, that depend on dictatorship rule, other than democracy, the other problems facing the Dream is the Arab-Israeli conflict that tore the Arab world and divided it into two parts, poverty, illiteracy and secularism are slowing down the progress.

Media

Several songs and movies that call for Arab unity have been made:

*Watani El Akbar (My Greater Nation) was perhaps one of the first modern Arab Dream songs, with Mohammed Abdel Wahab as composer, and a group of Arab star singers, including Abdel Halim Hafez, Shadia, Sabah, Warda Al-Jazairia.
*El Qods Hatirja Lina (Jerusalem will return back to us) by a group of celebrities, mostly Egyptian actors and singers, following the beginning of the 2nd intifada in Palestine, all celebrities were in black to show the grief of the dead.
*El Helm El Arabi (The Arabic Dream)over 18 famous Arab singers gathered in Beirut to sing that song, the song was a hit back then in the late 90s, showing the singers standing side by side, with videos of Israeli bombardment of Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt, it also showed pictures of Israeli abuse towards Palestinian children and citizens.
