Olive Baptist Church is a church located in Pensacola, Florida. It is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Currently it is lead by Pastor Dr. Ted Traylor. The music minister is Dr. Leo Day. Olive (as it is most commonly referred to) has a membership of over 10,000 people.Fact|date=September 2007 It averages around 3,200 in attendance on Sundays during worship service; however, on Christmas Eve and Easter it can reach up to 6,000.Fact|date=September 2007

History

Olive was founded in 1894 when a group of 12 people came from Canoe Baptist Church in Canoe, Alabama, and started the church. The church was originally across Olive Road in a wooden structure but moved to the north side of the street in 1949.

Olive is located in Pensacola, Florida where Olive Road, Davis Highway & University Parkway converge.

Its official address is 1836 Olive Road, Pensacola, FL 32514. Over the years Olive has acquired 55 acres of land.

Broadcasts

Olive's Sunday service can be seen on the Pensacola & Mobile area channel WHBR TV-33 (Cox cable channel 13) Sunday's at 11am (the previous week's sermon) and Saturdays at 5pm. The Sunday service is broadcast live on radio as well. The early and evening services can be heard on 91.7FM. The late service can be heard on AM790.
