Vladimir Petrovich Kondrashin (Cyrillic: "Владимир Петрович Кондрашин") (born
January 14 ,1929 in Leningrad,Soviet Union (now St. Petersburg, Russia); diedDecember 23 ,1999 inSaint Petersburg ,Russia ) was a Russian basketball coach.Soviet Union national basketball team
He coached
Soviet Union national basketball team from 1970 to 1976. He led them to their first Olympic victory in the 1972 Olympics (they beat USA in the controversial final game on a last second shot byAlexander Belov ).He also coached them to a victory in the 1974 World Championship, bronze medal in the 1976 Olympics, victories in the 1971 European Championship and 1970 World University Games, silver medals in the 1975 European Championship and 1973 World University Games and bronze medals in the 1973 European Championship.
Club level
On club level, he coached Spartak Leningrad from 1967 to 1995. With Spartak, he won European Cup Winners' Cup in 1973 and 1975 and USSR league in 1975.
FIBA Hall of Fame
He was enshrined in the
