- CALGE
The Free Academic Center of Geography, Calge, at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC) is the entity that represents the student staff (pupils) of both the administrative courses and judicial. According to statute that legitimizes it, the purposes of calge, among others is to represent the pupils without certainty distinction politics, to work for the improvement of
education and its public gratuitousness, to evaluate the faculty, and to work for the improvement of the physical space destined to the activities of the course. It is thinking about these items that the Calge must look for to act, promoting assemblies whenever necessary and searching the integration and unit of the student staff. He is composed for all the regularly registered pupils, possessing a direction as official representative agency, in form of collegiate and without hierarchy, beyond possessing a proper space. It does not possess lucrative ends.The Calge was the first Academic Center of the FAED, appearing in 1998 and having as the one of the articulators of its creation current collaborating professor of the course Fábio Napoleão, which already concluded the duration of the course. After that, he remained inactive until returning towards the end of 2004, this time counting on William Pauli, formed in 2006, as articulator one of the process. In the ownership of the elect plate, committed by the electoral commission in March 2005, some professors and former-pupils had spoken on the importance of the academic center and had given advice to the direction installed in the occasion, as, for example, to keep other people's interests politician-partisans of the performance of the Calge.
In this different year, the students had come to have representatives in the Collegiate Department of Geography and of the Course of Geography, having started a new phase toward the pupils of the course. From 2006, new doors confide it the CALGE, so that through them it inside searches its consolidation of the student movement of the FAED and the UDESC.
