"Cirsotrema forresti" is species of very small deepwater sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Epitoniidae, the wentletraps.

Distribution

This species is endemic to the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand and the Chatham Islands.

Habitat

This wentletrap is found at depths of between 160 and 360 m.

hell description

The shell is small, turreted, with a conspicuous shoulder, and a strong basal cord, the whole shell crossed by narrow, sharply raised axial ribs, 18 or 19 per whorl, and spinose at the shoulder angle. The interstices have distinct spiral cords.

Height is up to at least 6.5 mm, and width 3 mm.
