The Genus was named after
Yuzhou (禹州), the previous name ofChungking - a major city on theYangtze River , and where the first fossil of " Yuzhoupliosaurus" was found.Description
Paleontologist s believe Yuzhoupliosaurus to have been approxamatley 4meters long. the lower jaw contains five pairs of largeteeth and 23 or 234 smaller teeth. the cervicalvertebra are considered "high and short". The anterior cervicalrib s are Double-headed while the posterior cervical ribs are single-headed. Thecoracoids are elongated and theclavicles are well-developed.References
