Gran Hermano (Spain)

Gran Hermano is the Spanish version of television reality series produced by Endemol, Big Brother. It has had a total of 9 completed main seasons with season 10 currently on air. Also, 2 celebrity seasons have aired.

The First Season aired in 2000.

Season One

Start Date: April 23, 2000End Date: July 21, 2000

Duration: 90 days

The Finalists: 3 - Ismael (The Winner), Ania (Runner-up) and Iván (3rd)

This year Housemates Nominated three Housemates for Eviction, and the three or more Housemates with the most Nominations faced the Public Vote.

fnb|5 After Óscar Voluntarily Walked from the House the Public were allowed to choose his replacement. They were to vote between Javier and Sandra. Javier won the vote with 82%, and moved into the House shortly before Candi's Eviction.

Nominations Table

This Series Housemates Nominated Housemates for 3, 2 and 1 Nomination points (shown in numerical order in the Nomination Box - with 3 points at the top and 1 point at the bottom). The three or more Housemates with the most Nomination Points would face the Public Vote.Each Week the winner(s) of a challenge wins the right to remove 3 Nomination Points from the Housemate(s) of their choice and potentially change the Nomination line-up.

Housemates could Nominate three other Housemates for three, two and one points. The three or more Housemates with the most Nomination Points will face the Public Vote. Each week the Head of Household (HOH) has the chance to save a Housemate from the Nomination line-up.

fnb|27 On Day 1 there were three fake Evictions - first of Estrella, who answered a call to the Diary Room and told she had been Evicted; then of Raquel A who answered a ringing phone which told her she had been Evicted; and finally Inma who answered a call to the Diary Room, where she was told she had to Evict someone. Unable to choose she picked herself and was told she was Evicted. Shortly after Pepe answered a call to the Diary Room, where he was instated as Head of Household (HOH) and given keys to the HOH Room - which contained a secret door leading to a secret room where the three "Evicted" girls were hidden. His mission this Week was to look after the girls (getting them food and clothing) all the while keeping their existence a secret. If he passed he would be Immune from being Nominated this Week, but if he failed he, along with a "Evicted" girl of his choice would automatically face the Public Vote. He passed and was Immune from being Nominated.
fnb|28 This Week Big Brother lied to the Housemates - telling them they had to Nominate 4 Housemates each (for 4, 3, 2 and 1 points). However, this was a lie, and only the Housemates chosen for 3, 2 and 1 Points counted in the Nominations tally. Had the 4 Points counted Inma, Pepe and Raquel L would have faced the Public Vote.
fnb|29 As Arturo, Dayron, Javi, Jesús, Maite, Raquel Abad, Raquel López, Saray & Tono failed to Nominate on time, their Nomiantions were declared void and only the Nominations of Pepe and Sara counted. Had all Nominations counted Maite, Pepe and Sara would have faced the Public Vote.
fnb|30 This Week Housemates Nominated for One and Two Points, and the two Housemates with the highest Votes faced the Public Vote.

Season Eight

Start Date: September 7, 2006End Date: December 21, 2006

Duration: 106 days

The Finalists: 3 - Naiala (The Winner), Laura Fernández (Runner-up), Miriam (3rd) and Miguel Ángel "Pulpillo" (4th).

Evicted Housemates: 11 - Dam, Drovi, Gemma, Greta, Javier, Kiko, Kiran, Laura Sevillano, Mahme and Marusky.

Ejected Housemates: 1 - Romina (failed background checks)

fnb|1 On launch night 14 of the Housemates entered a replica House of the first Gran Hermano edition. These Housemates will live in the GH1 House until they are evicted or moved to the GH10 House.
