He was a 2nd team High School All-American infielder in 1999 and at Miami he was a Freshman 1st team All-American, College Freshman of the Year andBaseball America Freshman of the Year. He was a second-team All-Americanshort stop in 2001.He was drafted by the
Cincinnati Reds in the 5th round of the 2002MLB Draft . Played for theDayton Dragons in 2003,Potomac Cannons in 2004 (selected to theCarolina League All-Star team) andChattanooga Lookouts in 2005. He was traded by the Reds to theNew York Yankees (along withBen Himes ) in exchange forTony Womack onDecember 8 2005 . Played for theTrenton Thunder in 2006.Started the 2007 season with the
Philadelphia Phillies minor league teams in Lakewood and Clearwater. Picked up by theLos Angeles Dodgers at mid-season and assigned to theJacksonville Suns . He hit .292 for the Suns, including 7 home runs in 64 games and was promoted to theLas Vegas 51s in 2008.On August 8, 2008 he was cut by the Las Vegas 51s. He was picked up by the
