Sue Raney (born
June 18 ,1940 ) is an American jazz singer. Signed byCapitol Records at the age of seventeen, her debut album, theNelson Riddle -produced "When Your Lover Has Gone", was released in 1958. Watson-Guptill, 2001.] Raney begin singing at only four years of age, and encouraged by her mother, began working as a professional before she was a a teenager. When she was nearly 14, she joinedJack Carson 'sLos Angeles -based radio show in 1954, and later worked on television asRay Anthony 's band's main vocalist. [All Music Guide Biography.
