Yours For Mine

History

Yours For Mine is an experimental indie-rock band from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. They officially started in late 2004 early 2005. Three members (Jonathan Woods, Chad Altenberger, Joey Testa) were formerly in a rock band called "The Red Letter Days" with long-time friend Tyler Dowdy who played bass. Bassist Stephen Minnick and lead singer Jonathan Woods were also band mates in previous ventures. Jonathan played drums in alternative/rock band "Addressing Athens" (formerly "Strawzeus") with Stephen on bass. Stephen's brother Jordan Minnick was the lead singer and guitarist. The two were also members of the Winchester, VA based post-hardcore band "The Lotus Years" with drummer James Dearstyne, guitarist Chad Miner and lead vocalist Nick Davis. Influences

The band hosts a range of influences from each of their individual tastes. Some of the major influences on Yours For Mine's sound comes from such artists as Anathallo, Saosin, Circa Survive, Muse, Norma Jean and Beloved.

Touring/Performance History

Yours For Mine has performed with many regional, national and international acts such as Fear Before The March of Flames, August Burns Red, Clarity Process, Lex Vegas, [http://www.shapiropeople.com Shapiro] , Olympia, The Myriad, Rodinia, Oh Sleeper, A Life Once Lost, Farewell Flight, John Reuben and many more. They have performed in various venues from the reaches of New Hampshire to the southwest state of Texas.

Record Releases

Yours For Mine has released only one show-only demo. It has not been distributed by any means other than merchandise table sales. The band has finished tracking for their full-length release, "Dear Children" - the record is being produced by the band and engineer/producer [http://www.calebkeiter.com Caleb Keiter] of [http://www.studiowest.com Studio West] in San Diego, CA (formerly of [http://www.omegastudios.com Omega Recording Studios] in Rockville, MD). The record was recorded in multiiple locations including members homes and in Dragonfly East Studio of Haymarket, VA owned by [http://www.spelbring.com/ Scott Spelbring] who is credited for his works with such artists as SR-71 (band), Jason Mraz, Chris Kirkpatrick and also for his extensive worldwide touring.
