Ohio Senate , representing the 25th District since 2007. Mason also serves as the current Senate Minority Whip. He was previously a member of theOhio House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006, where he served as Assistant Minority Whip in 2006. He is a former assistantCuyahoga County prosecuting attorney and aide to CongresswomanStephanie Tubbs Jones . In August 2008, Ohio Gov.Ted Strickland announced that he would appoint Mason to a vacancy on the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.Mason holds a J.D. from the
University of Michigan Law School , and a B.A. from theCollege of Wooster . He is married and has a single child, a daughter.External links
